KERALA ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS PRE POLL SURVEY RESULTS | PRE POLL SURVEY RESULTS | ELECTION SURVEY APRIL 2011

Share

Almost all four surveys, by the Centre for Forecasting and Research and ORG, have predicted a clear edge for the UDF, giving it up to 95 seats in the 140-seats.

Most poll surveys forecasting the defeat of the ruling Left Democratic Front have projected Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan as the most preferred candidate for the top post, a phenomenon confusing though ‘factual’ from the pollster’s point of view.

But all of them also gave a high popularity rating for Mr Achuthanandan.

While C-fore gave him 48 per cent rating, Org put it at 34 per cent. But both outcomes placed him above Opposition leader Oommen Chandy.

Other Opinion :

# The Asianet opinion survey released on 9-Mar-2011 predicts 77 to 87 seats for UDF, 53 to 63 seats for LDF and 0 to 5 seats for BJP.
# The second round survey by Asianet News on 31-Mar-2011 changes the tally as follows: UDF 80-90; LDF 50-60: BJP 0-2.
# The opinion survey conducted by Institute for Monitoring Economic Growth, predicted on 31-Mar-2011 that the UDF will get 72-82 seats and the LDF will get 58-68 seats in the elections.
# The opinion poll conducted by Mail Today-India Today-Headlines Today-Aaj Tak-ORG, announced on 1-April-2011 predicts 96 seats to the UDF and only 41 seats to the ruling LDF, with others getting 3 seats

Kerala Exit Poll Opinion :
UDF - 96 seats, 48% Vote Share
LDF - 41 seats, 40% Vote Share
Others - 3 seats, 12% Vote Share

The survey was conducted in 15 per cent of randomly selected assembly constituencies.

One month is too long to wait for the results.Either UDF or LDF after gaining power they forget about the people and engage in faction fights and towards the fag end of their tenure they come out with certain gimmics to fool the people. If the political parties won't settle the feud among their own leaders, the voters will loose faith in the system itself. What ever happened in the previous UDF and LDF govts should not be repeated who ever wins.
