Ajith Mankatha releasing on September 2

The biggest question haunting Kollywood is the release date of Ajith’s Venkat Prabhu directed Cloud Nine produced Mankatha? The music of the film is already a hit.



Originally when Mankatha was started in mid-2010 as Ajith’s 50th golden jubilee film, it was scheduled to release on his birthday May 1, 2011. But it never happened due to various reasons.



But by then a regime change happened in Tamil Nadu and the producers of the film were in trouble. It was at this time negotiations started between UTV and Cloud Nine, but it reached nowhere.



Now the latest we hear is that Venkat Prabhu and others behind the project are going all out to get the film released on September 2.



This will enable them to cash in on the big Vinayaka Chathurthi- Ramzan weekend, which will ensure a fantastic opening for the film.



Let us hope that Venkat’s ‘Mission Mankatha’ succeeds.
