Anna Hazare's fasting

Share

''It is reasonably correct'', that's how BJP President Nitin Gadkari responded to the indefinite fast launched by Social Activist Anna Hazare demanding a comprehensive Lok Pal Bill, saying it is a reaction to the strong reaction against corruption.
Talking to reporters here today, Mr Gadkari said the BJP'ssympathy was with him.

"The fast by Anna Hazare was reasonably correct and the Congress-led UPA
Government has to understand the unrest against corruption. ''Anna Hazare's indefinite is a reaction to the strong reaction against corruption. Our sympathy is with him,'' he said, adding ''it's high time that we need a Lokpal and Lokayukta. ''

Mr Hazare launched his fast on April five demanding a strong Lok Pal bill to end corruption. Stating the use of IT would bring down corruption, Mr Gadkari said a conference of Chief
Ministers of nine BJP-ruled states would be held soon on use of IT in government processes like e-auction e-tender, e-governance to reduce corruption and make India a corruption-free nation. On the Supreme Court quashing the Madhya Pradesh Government’s decision to allot land to a trust named after Late BJP Leader Kushabhau Thakre,

Mr Gadkari said ''there is nothing wrong in it and he respected the court’s decision''. ''It was given to a trust and not to any individual or corporate,'' he added.
