A port is one which is located near sea and where ships can come and go from outside the country so as to transfer people or goods from one country to another. Given below is the list of some of the ports which are there in India –

1. Visakhapatnam port, located in Andhra Pradesh
2. Alang, located in Bhavnagar in the state of Gujarat
3. Chennai Port, located in state of Tamil Nadu
4. Mumbai Port, also know gateway of India, is located in the state of Maharashtra.
5. Tuticorin, also known as Pearl City is a port located in Tamil Nadu.
6. Manglore port is located in the state of Karnataka.
7. Kandla port is located in Kutch region of Gujarat.
8. Panaji which is the capital city of goa is also one of the major ports in India.
9. Paradip port is situated in the state of Orissa.
10. Ennore Port is located in Chennai, in the state of Tamil Nadu.

Apart from above there are ports also which are there like port in Cochin, port in Kolkata, Krishnapatnam port etc…
